Vice Governor Li Dejin Meets with Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia
On January 22, Vice Governor Li Dejin met in Fuzhou with a Russian Delegation headed by Vladimir Timofeev, Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia.
Li welcomed the guests and provided them with a brief introduction of Fujian’s socio-economic development. Fujian and the Republic of Karelia signed an agreement to establish sister relationship last November under the witness of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, elevating bilateral relations to a new stage. It is of great significance to have a Karelian delegation visiting Fujian two months later to implement relevant cooperation agreements. 2018 and 2019 are years of China-Russia local cooperation and exchange. Fujian attaches high importance to the cooperation and exchange with Karelia, and looks forward to further enhancing practical cooperation in trade, education, culture, tourism and sister-province exchange.
Timofeev expressed that Karelia will continue to intensify exchange and cooperation with Fujian in trade, education, and tourism.
