Bruneian College Students Visit Fujian
A delegation of 14 Bruneian college teachers and students embarked on a 10-day campus tour to Fujian on December 6.
The journey took the delegation members to universities where they attended a course on comparative politics, got to know the evolution of Chinese characters, experienced first-hand the traditional art of paper-cutting and Chinese knotting, and had lively discussions about entrepreneurship with Chinese students.
Other highlights of the trip included visits to high-tech companies and cultural sites, as well as activities of the 3rd Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival.
Dr. Yabit Alas, head of the delegation, expressed that the impressive trip sets as an eye opener for the Bruneian students who have learned a lot on the current development of China, and fuels their interests in studying Chinese language and culture.
