Canadian Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Roadshow Kicks off in Fuzhou
On October 27, the Canadian Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Roadshow Fuzhou Stop was launched by Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou, in collaboration with Fujian Foreign Affairs Office, Fujian Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and Fujian Department of Commerce.
Smart manufacturing has become a mega trend in today’s world. In 2015, China unveiled the national plan “Made in China 2025” for upgrading manufacturing capacity. Since then, Fujian has redoubled the efforts to implement the initiative and supported its southern city Quanzhou in building a pilot zone for smart manufacturing and a demonstration area for industrial transformation and upgrading.
Canada is a forerunner in smart manufacturing. As a participant of the international joint-research program “Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS)”, it boasts a whole raft of leading smart manufacturing enterprises with cutting-edge technologies and agencies providing support services.
The cooperation between the two sides is sure to promote the application of advanced technologies in the R&D, production, operation and management of manufacturing enterprises in Fujian, and propel the industry to progress toward smart manufacturing and finer management.
Fujian FAO will continue to work with foreign embassies and consulates in China to provide more matchmaking platforms for Fujian enterprises and their foreign counterparts to find business partners.
