The Night of the Maritime Silk Road Show successfully held in Fuzhou
On May 17, 2015, the performing arts show for the 16thCross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade was staged in Fuzhou Cross-Straits International Exhibition Center. Art groups from Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Turkey, Uganda and Fuzhou Song-and Dance Theater put on an wonderful show for the people.
The provincial foreign affairs office and Fuzhou foreign affairs and overseas Chinese office invited foreign artists to come to Fuzhou for the show, whose theme was “promoting and integrating into the development of 21stcentury Maritime Silk Road”. Unique elements from Southeast Asia countries, Turkey, Africa and other MSR countries were incorporated into the show. It underscores the how eager we are to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Southeast Asian countries in economy, culture and people-to-people exchanges.
The show is part of the “colorful events” to promote international exchanges. Many original and exotic programs such as the dancing of Malaysia indigenous people, countryside dance of the Philippines, Thai dances, won rounds of applause from the audience. The foreign affairs office will continue to use the platform for further cultural exchanges.
